To meet the requirements of the new EU standard for explosion protected lift truck design, Pyroban has invested in a 2-year EN1755:2015 change programme.
 
The EN1755:2015 standard, entitled ‘Safety of industrial trucks. Operation in potentially explosive atmospheres. Use in flammable gas, vapour, mist and dust’, supersedes EN1755:2000 and is mandatory from November 2017.  
 
The updated EN1755:2015 affects new orders for lift trucks that will be used in Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 classified areas from November 2017.  The changes mean that the technical makeup of an ATEX 2014/34/EU truck conversion will be different.
