Moving Requires ‘Near-Zero Human Effort’ At Chennai Factory

Renewable sources are becoming an increasingly competitive option in meeting the world’s energy demand. Whether it’s solar, wind or hydro-power, a recent report from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) shows that costs from all commercially available renewable power technologies declined in 2018.

A tipping point has been reached, with lower costs ultimately leading to lower-priced electricity for the consumer. Since the early 2000s, for instance, the worldwide average weighted cost of electricity from solar power concentration fell by 26%.

Underpinning this accelerating trend is the falling price of installation and maintenance. Without ever more efficient manufacturing and production processes supporting the revolution in renewable energy, any progress towards achieving greater sustainability would be severely limited.

ProGARM introduces new Arc Flash protective hoodie following growing demand

ProGARM, the UK’s leading Arc Flash protection specialist, has developed a new Arc Flash protective hoodie, following demand from its clients.

The new hoodie features a warm neck design, making it ideal for working outside, as well as a drawstring hood. The garment also includes inner fleece lining for additional warmth, a ribbed waistband and cuffs to ensure a great fit, as well as front pockets.

The warmth provided by the inner fleece lining and neck designs is crucial to the design to prevent wearers from being tempted to layer up with non-Arc Flash protective clothing beneath the protective hoodie. Everyday materials can melt into an operative’s skin or even compromise the protection given by any Arc Flash garment when worn underneath their PPE, should an Arc Flash incident occur.
