Leading equipment testing specialist switches to RFID system

One of Ireland’s leading testing and inspection specialists for lifting equipment has switched to a new RFID system to improve safety and efficiency.

Cork based Anderco Lifting is using CoreRFID’s CheckedOK system for its on-site reports.

At Last! Affordable Condition Monitoring For Hazardous Areas…

At Last! Affordable Condition Monitoring For Hazardous Areas…

Historically, Intrinsically Safe condition monitoring equipment has disappointed

Condition based monitoring (CBM) equipment in hazardous atmospheres has always presented something of a problem. The very high cost and relatively low functionality of the available vibration data collectors has certainly not helped in this respect. Whilst it has now become common practice to use vibration data collectors on equipment in safe areas, their use in hazardous areas has not yet matched this level of usage. Yet if anything, equipment in hazardous areas requires even more monitoring given the possible catastrophic consequences of its unexpected failure. The safety aspects alone make sudden failure a potentially nightmarish scenario but even if tragedy is avoided, the cost of the required remedial work in hazardous areas can still be very damaging.
