New from Ion Science and exclusive to Shawcity in the UK & Ireland, TVOC 2 is a fixed PID detector for fast, accurate and continuous detection and measurement of total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs).
TVOC 2 continually measures and updates the output every second. Its photoionisation detection (PID) sensor capabilities utilise advanced patented Fence Electrode Technology with increased resistance to humidity and contamination.
Suitable applications for TVOC 2 include: Manufacturing, processing, offshore, refineries and petrochemical, chemical, waste water treatment, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, indoor air quality, solvent recovery systems and industrial pain and coatings.
A robust fixed PID detector, TVOC 2 has multiple detection ranges of 0 – 10 ppm, 0 – 100 ppm or 0 – 1000 ppm and is ideal for use in manufacturing and process industries where VOCs are typically present.
With a 4-20 mA analogue output, TVOC 2 can be simply integrated into a Distributed Control System (DCS) to provide warnings and enable control of high VOC levels in the working environment.
Simple to install service and calibrate, TVOC 2 requires no hot work permit and the PID sensor is accessible and changeable in a matter of seconds. The design has in-built humidity resistance, with no need for compensation, as well as anti-contamination features for extended field operation. Rugged and robust, TVOC 2 can withstand the harshest of environments.
The instrument’s ATEX approvals enable a 3 wire TVOC system to be used in Zone 2 hazardous areas without safety barriers, whilst its ATEX and IECEx approvals allow TVOC 2 to be used in Zone 1 hazardous areas with safety barriers.
The TVOC 2 utilises a diffusive sampling technique resulting in less contamination issues compared to pumped systems, reducing lamp cleaning and servicing requirements, and has an optional sensor cap which allows for a pipe connection. However, it can be used as a pumped system if required, by using an adapter.
The system also contains the Ion Science PID sensor which has been independently verified as the best on the market. With inexpensive consumables and parts, it also comes with a two-year warranty when registered online.
